“Milchwasser” – A Film by Daniil Sukhov, 2025

“Daniil Sukhov is a transdisciplinary artist whose practice merges sensory experience with cinematic narrative. Through performance and film, he explores the fluid connections between identity, geography, and ecology.

His work grows out of a synthesis of abstract mathematical thought and visceral experience, examining how perception shapes our understanding of the environment.
Drawing from material culture and environmental research, he creates immersive situations that invite audiences to rediscover essential elements like water through taste, smell, and reflection.

His pieces, such as the Taste of Origin-performance and the short film Milk Water, blend poetic storytelling with documentation to highlight humanity’s deep, often overlooked dependence on natural resources.

Daniil holds a BA in Transarts from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Vienna.

He has participated in various exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects, including:
Turning the Tide – Local Lab 2, Wiener Bildungszentrum, Vienna (2025)
Tag der offenen Ateliers, Kunstraum Seestadt, Vienna (2024)
Surprise, Surprise!, GALERIE3, Klagenfurt (2023)”
