Jamie Wardrop
Based in: Scotland
Supported: Glasgow Urban Lab
Jamie Wardrop is a socially engaged artist and filmmaker whose work explores working-class histories, cultural identity, and the politics of place. Rooted in community collaboration, Jamie works with oral history, documentary film and participatory storytelling to enable people to represent their own lives and environments with dignity. Through Turning the Tide, Jamie contributed to the Renfrewshire Local Urban Lab, bringing a human-centred lens to conversations about rivers, post-industrial landscapes and climate justice. Their work foregrounded lived experience in environmental debate, making art a tool for dialogue, memory and social connection
